691: Squirrel Nut Zippers and the movie “Swingers” revive swing
Swing music is a form of jazz music that developed during the 20s and 30s and then faded out of popularity in the 50s. In the late 90’s, swing music experienced a revival thanks to films like Swingers and Swing Kids, and a couple of Gap ads that featured sing music. Some of the more influential swing revival groups included Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, the Cherry Poppin’ Daddies, and The Brian Setzer Orchestra.
