868: Big Star release #1 Record
Released in 1972, #1 Record is Big Star’s debut album, and the only Big Star album on which founding group member Chris Bell is officially credited. The album was critically lauded but somewhat dismally received by the public. You can hear Cheap Trick doing a cover version of Big Star’s “In The Street” during the open credits of “That ’70s Show.”
