Remember This: The Last Waltz
Concluding The Band’s 16 years on the road, The Last Waltz was held Thanksgiving Day 1976 at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. Billed as a farewell concert, Martin Scorsese was on hand to record the event and his effort is hailed as a masterwork among rock documentaries, a landmark in rock history. The long list of performers include original leader Ronnie Hawkins, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Ringo Starr, Muddy Waters and an astounding assortment of rock, blues, country, folk and gospel luminaries.
