When I was four years old I loved Cindy Lauper’s music, she was all I listened to. One day my mother came to me and said “Sonja, you aren’t going to kindergarten tomorrow because I’m taking you to see Cindy Lauper tonight at the Mann Music Center!” I was so excited, I couldn’t believe that my mom would get me, a four year old, tickets to see my favorite singer! So me, my mom, my godmother and my hairdresser went to the show. It was so magical for me, I even remember her climbing up onto the speakers and not being able to get back down and one of the stage hands had to come and help her.
