Los Lonely Boys at Xponential

We’d had a blast at the Xponential Festival, especially seeing The Cat Empire and Los Lonely Boys. They were awesome! We were watching the unfortunate aftermath of the accident where the stolen SUV plowed into the concession stands, when suddenly the Garza brothers were walking swiftly through the crowd with their bodyguards. We followed them and called out to them. They turned around and smiled and waved. We struck up a conversation and, although they were understandably exhausted, they were gracious and friendly.
What a thrill to meet such gifted musicians, and such gentlemen! An unforgettable musical day in our lives!

I think the Garza Brothers saved the day by putting on such an exhilarating act! At the last song, they started playing around and showing off (in the fun nature of the moment) by playing 2 on 2 guitar, playing behind their backs, overhead, etc. Their antics kept everyone in their seats and the SUV lurched out of control and into the empty concession area.
Since nobody was really around (except my husband who wanted to get a cosmic veggie wrap ahead of the crowds - and wound up witnessing the accident), there were just a couple of minor injuries.
If Los Lonely Boys ended their set sooner, or if they weren’t as captivating, it would have been crowded at the concessions and the day would have turned out quite differently.
The beautiful vibe of the Exponential Music festival - and the energetic showmanship of LLB - was not dimmed at all by a random act of craziness. The Love and Good Energy prevailed!!
