My first concert

I was a senior in high school and had gotten tickets to see The Chamber Brothers. At some point before the concert my ticket got stolen from my handbag in school. I went to report it to the principle who contacted the facility where the concert would be held. (This is unheard of in today’s world….we’re talking 1969 with the concert in a skating arena!)
I went to the arena and got a pass for the concert as I remembered my seat number. After the concert was over, I used this pass to get backstage and “interview” the band, stating I was doing it for the school newspaper. I got an interview, autographs and was thrilled to death. Thus began my love affair with music, concerts and writing.
