I remember riding to work the day XPN played The Rising by Bruce Springsteen. It was early on a summer morning. I remember getting psyched up to hear it by Michaela Majoun. She played it and it rocked! The album addressed some of the many feelings I experienced in post 9/11 America. I was covered in Brucebumps! The song was over and I was smiling. Everything felt just right at that moment.

THEN…..on comes Michaela, equally as excited! What does she do? She plays it again! WOO-HOO!

It was at that moment that I felt that bond that people form when they realize the role that the local tv, news or radio personality plays in their life. Michaela playing the title song from The Rising twice in a row is one of my most memorable moments. Thanks!
