Bruce Springsteen LIVE @ THE BOTTOM LINE
by Peggy Joyce, Landsdowne, PA
It was August 1975. I was already a FANatical Springsteen fan. Even though we ordered tickets immediately upon seeing the add in the NY TIMES, we were only able to get SRO tickets. No problem. Who sits during a Springsteen concert anyway?
Because we had the SRO tickets, we were the last to be admitted into the club and we could hear Bruce and the band begin to play “Tenth Avenue Freeze Out.” I didn’t care. I wasn’t going to be frozen out. I was going to see Bruce. Our “seats” were great. We were standing about 20 feet from the stage and Bruce was brilliant! The rest, as they say, is Rock n Roll history. After that everyone knew about Bruce and I have learned to share him with the rest of the world.
