Dennis and Dan

My brother and sister-in-law and my husband and I were at a Dan Fogelberg concert at the Keswick Theatre a couple of years ago. The music was great, but there were a bunch of fuddy-duddies in the audience. One was even reading a book during the show!
When it came time for Dan to do “Heart of a Gambler,” my hubby really got into it towards the end. Anyone who has heard the live recording could probably appreciate this. Anyway, at the end of the song, when everybody just sat there Dennis stood up and sang out loud, “Won’t you let it, won’t you let it shine!”
“Oh my,” I said and shrunk into my seat. Dan just said, “Wow man, alright!” and went on singing.
Dennis is my rock star.
