1st time I heard “The Driving Song” by the Cat Empire
by Bonnie Lannom, Bristol, PA
I had just driven down to park on Front St. near South. I walked down the to the TLA to procure Iggy Pop tickets for the show @ the Electric Factory, and I was in a sad, nostalgic kind of mood. I had just done the South St. walk of my youth, and was feeling, well, kinda old, missing the Skinz and Zipperhead of old. I mean, Starbucks on South Street? Anyway, I got in my car, and “The Driving Song” had just started. Well, I cranked it up, and bopped my way over to 95 North. It was just one of those great, fun, catchy tunes. My 1st favorite song of 2007.

Well my friend, you have EXCELLENT taste. I saw them at the Xponential Music Festival and they kicked butt. CD is eclectic - blends of jazz, hip-hop, hammond organ, and homage to a sweet Australian groove. It’s a must buy. Continue to let it lift your blues!
