The first time I saw Joan Armatrading

I remember one night in the early 80’s watching Sound Stage on channel 12 and there was this artist named Joan Armatrading. I had never heard of her but I was instantly captivated. I went out to find an album of her music and found WALK UNDER LADDERS. Of course I listened to it over and over until I knew it by heart. When I saw she was coming to the Tower I got 2 tickets for my husband and I. I will always remember the excitement and the anticipation while standing in the lobby. Then I heard the sound of “I’m Lucky”. What a great show.
I’ve seen her many times since then and she is still one of my favorite artists. I never get tired of listening to her. I drove my kids crazy!
