Beatles and Bruce

1976 concert — Spectrum — McCartney I was 19 years old and left my seat to get as close to the stage as possible. There was a barricade with a 2-by-4 across the top. I climbed up to it. A security guard grabbed me by the ankles and was ready to pull me down. It was in between two songs. Linda McCartney leaned over to her microphone and told him to leave me alone, “He’s not bothering us.” The place cheered and she threw me the roses from the top of her keyboards. They put the spotlight on me and I raised the roses with my fist in the air. The hair goes up on the back of my neck even till this day when I think about it.
Also, met and shook John Lennon’s hand at the back of WPVI studios on City Line Ave. In ‘75. I asked him if it was true that he was going to tour with Ringo as reported in Rolling Stone. He said, “Well, if Ringo wants to tour, I’ll tour.”
Last, Springsteen’s ‘75 concert at the Tower, 3rd row from stage. He comes down on the seat handles and is like 2 feet from me. This is my all-time hero, right? And what do I see? A large boogie hanging from his nose. The people in immediate proximity including myself just look at each other. The Boss is so human.
First time I ever contacted you guys. Been listening forever. It’s time for me to be a member and donate. Anybody else who’s been doing the same should too.
