Dan the List Guy: Best XPN Free At Noon Concerts

The List Guy is Dan Reed, Music Director for WXPN. Three times a week, Dan gives his spin on Top 10 musical moments in pop culture.

This Friday Noon tradition all started on February 11, 2005 with Donovan Frankenreiter. Since that time, we’ve had 125 different Free at Noon concerts, and below are my favorites – what are yours?

    Dion-I had no idea what a terrific guitar player he is and what great stories.Richard Thompson-being able to see a master guitar player up close,WOW!

    There are many that I love(d), but does anyone remember the Delbert McClinton free-at-noon? Not only was it amazing to see and hear a wonderful performance by someone who has been around for quite a long time, but his band was exceptional and they played well beyond 1:00… I sadly had to leave for a luncheon appt. but was so impressed with this performance.
