Things have always gone better with Coke, although admittedly I was never much of a Pepsi drinker. “Things go better with Coke” was one of the many genius Coca-Cola marketing campaigns over the years. Working with their advertising agency McCann-Erickson, the jingle that was “Things go better with Coca-Cola” was recorded by dozens of pop stars at the time in a successful attempt to penetrate the “youth market.” Of course, none of those little jingles would become anywhere near as popular as Coke’s next campaign that began in 1969 when they switched to the “It’s The Real Thing” campaign and the release of “I’d Like To Teach The World To Sing” by the New Seekers. But still the jingles were pretty cool, although hearing some of them now you’ve got to admit they’re a bit hokey. And now, for your listening pleasure…
