The first 45 I ever bought

Until I was about 10 years old, I listened to classical music, opera, Sinatra, and show tunes, all favorites of my parents. Then it was as if a meteor struck — I heard “Hit the Road, Jack” by Ray Charles and ran right out to a local gift shop that sold a box of 45s. I played it till it wore out. Little did I realize how influential Ray Charles would be!
