Axis of Justice

by Dana Silverberg, New Hope, PA

Right before election 04 we hopped a train bound for NYC—just my friend Carolyn, myself and what seemed like no one else but armed military men and NYC officers in Penn Station. We headed straight for Michael Franti’s lovely power to the peacefeul Axis of Justice energy. Little did I know he’d be standing right outside the Knitting Factory.

So, not only was the show an uplifting dose of goodness—during what felt like that small window of opportunity that we had to make the changes in the political world that we needed to progress in a more wholesome direction—but there he was right in front of me—my jaw dropped—I picked it up and skipped right over to Michael Franti—he embraced me as I told him, “I think you are lovely personified.” His response…”I think you’re lovely too sister” Who can recall the rest?

That show was such a high vibration of joy and promise as are all of his performances. Thank you for this chance to share. Namaste.
