I moved to Anchorage, AK in 1986 and was working for an advertising agency. Eric Clapton had been there in concert shortly after that. Ed, a sales rep at the ad agency, went to the concert & somehow got backstage passes & had his picture taken with Clapton & got his mailing address. So, every year after that, on March 30 (Clapton’s birthday), we would have the annual Eric Clapton birthday party in Ed’s Quonset Hut. No matter the day of the week it fell on, we would celebrate, because those Alaskans love to party. We would order a huge birthday cake, wishing Eric a Happy Birthday and design a birthday card, which everyone at the party would sign & have our picture taken. We would send everything, well except for the cake, to Clapton. We never got any feedback though.

And, by the way, I am Clapton’s biggest fan!!!!
