Love, “Rain” o’er Me

I attended the ever-memorable Live Aid concert at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia on July 13, 1985. It was a tough day to sit in a stadium with “umpteen” thousand others fully exposed to the sun in 95 degree temps and near 70% humidity. Thank God, Philly’s local fire departments came in with hoses and soaked the crowd in waves of water. Our section of the stadium was sprayed during The Who’s “Love, Reign O’er Me.” This was a profound spiritual moment that forever changed how I hear this song — with a lot more “Rain” than “Reign!!”
