The Funk Brothers

I’ve seen hundreds of concents and many of them were magical but nothing compared to how I felt after seeing The Funk Brothers at the Keswick Theatre in Glenside. These true unsung musical heroes finally getting recognition was awe inspiring. They were old, but their faces glowed like kids at Christmas.
Joan Osbourne, Maxi Priest and Darlene Love provided the vocals, but it was the musicians that touched our hearts. When they brought out pictures of the Funk Brothers who had passed, it was heard to keep my eyes from watering. The musicians who brought us so many of the Motown hits we grew up with and love to this day gave us an evening beyond compare.
