Bruce joins U2 at JFK

September 25, 1987 - U2 is doing the Joshua Tree tour and is at JFK. Near the end of the show, a collective cheer goes up from the audience. In the cheap seats, we’re all wondering what’s going on, when Bono says, “Who will play my guitar? Will Bruce Springsteen play my guitar?” They played “Stand by Me,” which was always the last song over the speakers before U2 would take the stage for that tour. Unbelievable. I still have the bootleg of that show.
