Bruce concert

by Jeff Kashuda, Channahon, Illinois

My most memorable moment occurred in 2003 at Cellular Field in Chicago. Bruce Springsteen had reunited with the East Street Band and I wanted to see him so bad but the concert was sold out. I called a friend of mine who works for the White Sox to see if he could help get me in the door. He said he could get me tickets and arranged for me to pick them up at the “Will Call” window. I followed the signs directing me to my section which was way down the third base line about half way up but could not find seats matching my tickets. I asked an attendant who told me I had to go down towards the field to see the attendant there. The attendant on the field pointed me toward the stage that was set up in centerfield. I approached another attendant and showed him my tickets. He said to come with him, I followed and he took me to the first row!

Needless to say I watched Bruce play for three hours and enjoyed the best seats at the best concert I have ever seen.
