When It Became A Digable Planet.

When “Reachin’ (A New Refutation of Time and Space)” hit the streets in 1993 I was living in State College experiencing college life, growing and learning. Then I came into possession of this CD and found a my musical tastes accelerating off into a new stratosphere.
Not only have I continued to explore non-mainstream hip-hop because of DP (EL-P, J Dilla, Madlib, MF Doom, Aesop Rock, etc.) but delved deep into the jazz world. If it wasn’t for this album, I never would have thought to by a Mingus album or discovered the joy of Max Roach. Much love to the DP’s.
