When I was a kid I was completely enthralled by the entire 1969 Paul Is Dead conspiracy. While it is reasonable to believe that the real Paul McCartney is still very much alive (David Dye just met him!), the question back then was if Paul was killed in a car crash and then replaced by a look-a-like? Did The Beatles then leave hundreds of subtle clues in their lyrics and their album covers? I followed all the clues and there are still some web sites that are keeping this legendary story alive including Paul Is Dead and the site Beatles Again that includes snippets of songs that highlight the musical clues.

I was reminded of the “Paul Is Dead” memorable musical hoax recently when I stumbled upon a great web site – Classicbands.com - and a section called “Rock And Roll’s Unsolved Mysteries”.
