The Singing Spin Doctor’s Dorky Spin

by Andrew Goutman, Rosemont, PA

A couple of years ago, World Cafe Live featured the Spin Doctors, which found fame in the ’90s with hits such as “Two Princes” and “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong.” It was a great concert, but I’ll have to say that the most memorable moments were when the lead singer, on way too many occasions, dug his heel in the stage floor and spun around a full 360 degrees, only to face his audience a bit dizzy. It was stunningly dorky. Get it: the SPIN Doctors. But after laughing at his antics the first few times around, I found myself cheering for a decent band that played some good music.
